In 2012, Work Martyr recorded "heads on fire" after years of experimentation in both life and music. It was the final project released by "i of slumber," an early incarnation of work martyr. To create the album, the artist infused and layered concentrated emotion into sound, until the music became overwrought and overcooked. Notes and feeling bubbled over with an intensity that demanded its own immediate degradation and distortion. This is electronic death music: atonal and melodic, moving and dead.

The project has been re-released here with a companion collection of poetry that has given this largely instrumental track words. Those words are called "Heads on Fire: Fuck". That side project is in print only and available to anyone with a mailing address. Just let us know where to send it.
